An eco-friendly stockyard 3 has been hot tested for Jiadong programmes, operating at Jiuquan Iron and Steel Co in China’s Gansu Province.

The stockyard features CISDI’s ECIA model C expertise and was built by CISDI to an EPC mode.

CISDI’s expert design and project management skills have been employed on a dozen JISCO projects to date, all of which are outperforming their overall appraisals.

Since early 2022, CISDI has worked on three Jiadong stockyard contracts. These ECIA-C yards cover an area of around 90,000 square metres and store over one million tonnes of materials. Each shed has a span of over 100m and extends to around 330m. Two are still under construction.

Stockyard 3 hit its design and construction targets thanks to the team’s professionalism and innovation.

Two rail-shared tripper cars are designed for receiving materials. A cantilever reversing belt conveyor enables flexible material stacking at one or both sides, with a simple switch-over process.

Two semi-portal scraper reclaimers are designed for discharging materials. They enable simultaneous discharging from both sides, comprehensively meeting production needs.

The team created the yard’s shed, a huge, arched structure made of coloured tiles, as one whole section. It was installed in a single process, using a deck-type, movable elevated pressing platform and a tile press. This method greatly reduced construction time.
