The modernised mould’s hydraulic oscillation control system leads the sector and enhances strand’s surface quality - and a new-generation system has now been designed by CISDI.
It has been hot tested at Shagang’s slab caster 5 in China’s Jiangsu Province and multiple breakthroughs in the system’s critical control algorithm and its control strategy have been achieved.
They include:
Compound feedforward and gain controls;
Oscillating parameters self-adaptation;
Interference-proof positioning.
These breakthroughs solve control instability issues caused by unknown load interference and enhance dual-cylinder synchronous control precision and systematic robustness.
Plug and Play technology meant it took only 24 hours for commissioning and on-line connection. This convenient method also makes future modification much easier.
Additionally, stable and uninterrupted operation of the continuous caster has been ensured. Previously, the mould’s abnormal stagnation interrupted procedures and forced stoppage.
CISDI’s teamwork and professionalism played a strong supportive role in the hot testing, from proposals to electric diagram designs, equipment supplies and commissioning.
Now in operation - the CCM 5 at Shagang, built by CISDI
