S&T: Top award for CISDI’s continuous annealing tech
Date:2020/10/16 Source: CISDI
CISDI’s core tech for high-strength, high-speed continuous annealing lines has been awarded a second prize in awards for China’s metallurgical technological achievements.
Increasing demand for high-strength steel has led to cold rolling enterprises move to high-speed continuous annealing lines.
CISDI’s design will enable companies to save on their fuel costs while producing safer products for the automobile industry.
Research and development for CISDI’s high-strength, high-speed continuous annealing line began in 2013. Chinese enterprises had to import the core annealing units, machinery, process model and control tech at high cost.
Five patents have now been granted - for the efficient cleaning section, multi-looper and sectionalised/zoned wet skin-pass mill core equipment.
Critical technology breakthroughs have been achieved for strip cleaning, annealing systems for different steel grades, stabilised and high-speed strip passage inside the furnace, process automation (L2) model, tension cascade regulation and multi-looper synchronous control.
The line is resulting in remarkable economic and social benefits, and world class indicators, at Yieh Phui (China) Technomaterial Co, Anyang Steel and Hebei Jingye Group.
