Traditionally, steelworks have long held a reputation for being high-polluters and ecologically unfriendly.

Today, China’s steel plants are seeking ever-greener developments in their pursuit of sustainability and in response to China’s stringent environmental protection.

Many are turning to CISDI’s transformative intelligent solutions in their quest for greener production, eco-friendly storage of raw materials and to cut emissions and recycling their waste.

But CISDI’s green solutions run much wider. Its planning and master design, engineering design and EPC-based skills are successfully upgrading and transforming the land where industrial parks and steel plants are based.

From 2020 to early 2021, CISDI carried out numerous landscaping projects for Baowu Maanshan Steel. The task included environmental improvements at Masteel’s intelligent park and outdoor facelifts at its south plant, all to an EPC mode.

Masteel is now transformed. It boasts garden-like views and is living in environmental harmony with the population of Maanshan City.

CISDI applied a steelworks plus concept throughout its designs for the landscape, green areas and buildings at the plant.

With an advanced green ecosystem in place, Masteel’s construction also showcases steel’s culture and the company’s feature tech and products, intelligent manufacturing methods and awards gained.

Masteel’s intelligent park and Xingfu Avenue has become famous for its contribution to developments integrating industry and the city.

June 2021 saw the launch of EPC-based services for building Masteel’s south plant Administrative Building, Centralised Control Centre and Shared Service Centre for its long products production lines, and for landscaping its Ecological and Special Steels Parks plus construction of auxiliary facilities.

The new buildings will take up 14,000 square metres and the landscaping area around them is 76,000 square metres.

Unique, landscaped grounds to be created at the south plant will feature a rain garden, a wildflower meadow and permeable pavements.

The Shared Service Centre at the south plant is the first of its kind for a Chinese steelworks. It will provide spaces for Masteel’s staff to eat and relax in and will include shower and changing facilities and entertainment.
