Work starts on Daye Special Steel’s new RHF

A new rotary hearth furnace is now under construction at Daye Special Steel which is based in Huangshi City in China’s Hubei Province.

CISDI Thermal and Environmental Engineering Co is providing EPC-based services.

CISDI’s green solid waste treatment tech and equipment will be applied, including a rotary hearth furnace targeting 200,000 tonnes of treatment capacity per year, plus auxiliary facilities.

The RHF will process iron and zinc-bearing dusts and sludges from plant-wide smelting and the melting gas system, the casthouse, BOF and LF, and EAF and LF’s dedusting systems.

CISDI’s team is coordinating all planned resources to meet schedules and adhering strictly to quality design and construction.

The advanced RHF will help Daye Special Steel meet greener standards. All iron-bearing waste will be recycled as resources and zero solid waste discharge will be achieved.
