CISDI wins contract for high-alloy steel plate rolling line at Fushun Special Steel

CISDI is to supply a high-alloy steel plate rolling line to Fushun Special Steel in China’s Liaoning Province.

Main contractual tasks include the plant’s design and equipment supplies for hot rolling, plate finishing, cold rolling and sheet finishing.

The following core equipment units from CISDI will ensure the line achieves China’s top indicators:

✧       An innovative unit enabling the smooth biting of super-short hot-rolling work-pieces (shortest dimension 200mm)

✧       An intensified reversing hot rolling mill, featuring work roll bending, work-piece warping and turndown control expertise

✧       A powerful reversing cold rolling mill

✧       A 2-hi skin pass mill

✧       An intensified straightening unit for cold and hot-rolled thick plate and thin sheet

✧       Head and tail cropping and edge trimming shears for cold and hot-rolled thick plate and thin sheet.

Fushun Special Steel’s sheet production will be optimised in both output and quality and the plant’s intelligent manufacturing levels will be upgraded.

The company’s plate and sheet will increase from 2m to 4.5m in length and from 1.2m to 1.5 in width. This will enable Fushun to fill a current gap in its product range for the wider specifications of sheet required by the national defence, aviation and aerospace sectors.
