Clever Carbon: CISDI boosts desulphurisation efficiency at Jianlong Jilin

Jianlong Group Jilin’s hot metal desulphurisation system 1 has passed its first hot commissioning.

CISDI, the EPC-based service provider, rebuilt a dual-station hot metal blowing de-S system and built two new KR-process stirring de-S systems at the plant’s existing workshop. Each KR’s capacity is 150 tonnes.

CISDI has a strong track record of achievements at the Jilin Province-based steelworks. It fulfilled the hot commissioning of the plant’s hot metal de-S system 2 in January 2023, which is operating with stable, advanced indicators.

De-S system 1 is a pilot project for CISDI’s one-touch operation and automatic skimming tech. These functions are now in use and will be further optimised.

The pilot project creates a strong foundation for the future success of CISDI’s intelligent hot metal desulphurisation tech.
