equipment - BDCD breakdown mill, NHCD short-stress path rolling mill and BRSM
bar reducing and sizing mill
Yongyang Special Steel’s new medium and flat bar rolling line has been successfully hot-commissioned in just one pass.
CISDI supplied the main rolling line’s equipment, which enabled all hot-tested product dimensions to meet standards.
Yongyang is based in China’s Hebei Province and the line is critical to the company’s pledge to return a reclaimed urban area and upgrade its facilities.
CISDI has a strong relationship with Yongyang, having previously supplied a light rail rolling line to the plant in 2020 and a heavy rail rolling line in 2021.
Specifics of the CISDI green, intelligent manufacturing tech and equipment in the 2023 line’s breakdown and continuous rolling procedures:
² BDCD breakdown mill, featuring 2-roll heavy-duty equipment, enables single-pass, large-reduction rolling, makes a deeper deformation of the bar and increases blooming efficiency and bar’s internal quality
² NHCD and BRSM’s super-stable rigidity ensures bar process and end dimensions meet precision requirements
² Multi-stage high-pressure water descaling units at the line’s five user points enhance bar surface quality
² Dual-route roller tables from the finishing mill to the cooling bed’s inlet facilitate the separate passage of round and flat bars, which prevents bars from being scratched
² Accurate, full-process bar temperature pre-setting and control functions from bar reheating to discharge and a lifting and open/close thermal holding cover and a fast car at the cooling bed area achieve the appropriate cooling systems for all products
² A combined online and offline finishing system improves bar quality.
The line will produce 600,000 tonnes of main products a year - 36-130mm diameter special steel bars, spring bars with a thickness range of 8-35mm and width range of 50-160mm, and fork flats 25-100mm in thickness and 75-200mm in width.
These products will feature grades of alloy structural, quality carbon structural, pinion, bearing, spring, cold heading and cold extrusion, unquenched, machinery and fork steels.
