CISDI-led Steel Low-carbon Service Platform is launched
Date:2024/9/2 Source: CISDI
A data platform designed to advance China’s green, low-carbon steel transformation was officially launched at the annual meeting of the China Steel Low-Carbon Work Promotion Committee 2024 and China’s steel sectoral green, low-carbon development forum in Shandong.
Construction of the Steel Low-carbon Service Platform has been led by CISDI.
The Platform provides comprehensive data, information, calculating and ecosystem services and will play an important role in the country’s low-carbon steel transformation.
Features:
1) Multiple convenient carbon calculating and analysis tools for carbon emissions three-dimensional model analysis, carbon calculating integrated analysis, carbon emissions optimisation analysis and product carbon footprint analysis
These tools help steel enterprises to simply and accurately quantify their carbon emissions baseline and carbon reduction potential.
One set of databases is input on the platform and multiple calculating results are generated from online feedback of the ISO and China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment guidelines, the carbon footprint and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.
These analyses and results correspond with multiple international calculating standards and China’s own, accelerating mutual regulatory recognition and correlation.
2) Enterprises are supported in the scientific reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, with the collection of the most complete and current low-carbon policy, information, standards and tech. The most valuable information is tapped by applying smart engine and algorithm extraction methods. An intelligent questioning and answering system is available.
The platform of sectoral eco-open public service acting as the Committee’s workbench provides expert database and meets release services. It is projected to create a sectoral low-carbon ecosphere.
CISDI is committed to using its steel-related strengths for resource sharing and value creation in the synergetic promotion of green, low-carbon transformation.
