A relocated and upgraded seamless tube rolling line has been hot tested in China’s Sichuan Province.

Pangang Chengdu Jintang’s revamped line will now be able to produce 89mm-diameter tube.

CISDI supplied all equipment downstream of the line’s reheating furnace - the Piercer Mill, the Accu-Roll and the 16-stand sizing mill.

The plant features an optimum production of cold-rolled and cold-drawn seamless tubular products.

The Ø89mm line is set to produce 25,000 tonnes of cold-rolled/-drawn tubes and 5,000 tonnes of hot-rolled tubes a year. The product specifications cover an entire range of diameters from 10 to 219.1mm, wall thicknesses ranging from 1.5 to 25mm and lengths of 4,000 to 12,500mm.
