Intelligent water treatment boost for Ningbo Baoxin

Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Steel has turned to CISDI expertise to boost its industrial water treatment plant.

CISDI is to supply an intelligent dosing system to the steelworks, which operates under Baowu Group. The dosing system is centred around CISDI’s alum image identification tech and products, which can identify alum’s real-time pattern in water and track changes in water quality.

Big data algorithms will accurately control the doses, ensuring an efficient and stable coagulation process.

The plant’s conventional dosing system was manually controlled and involved a massive amount of manpower. Wasted doses and unstable outlet water quality often resulted.  

The intelligent dosing system is already seeing outstanding results at numerous steel plants.

The first application, at Baowu Zhanjiang Steel’s central water treatment plant, has resulted in an outlet water turbidity of less than 1 NTU and a 30 per cent reduction in dosing quantity.

CISDI is now supplying the system to Zhanjiang Steel’s blast furnace 3 water treatment plant. Its high-density settling tank requires 30,000 tonnes of treatment capacity a day. Alum image identification and smart algorithm will ensure stable outlet water and Zhanjiang will be able to reduce its manpower.
