TISCO caster is hot commissioned

Continuous caster 2 was successfully hot commissioned at TISCO’s meltshop 2 (South).

The tested slab section size was 220mm thick and 1,260mm long.

CISDI package-supplied its rebuild equipment for the mould, mould’s hydraulic oscillator, the automation and the model.

The rebuilding of ageing casters is never easy. But CISDI’s technology - mould’s hydraulic oscillation, online width hot adjustment, mould expert system and 3D dynamic secondary cooling model - has successfully transformed TISCO’s 25-year-old caster into an advanced model.

CISDI took on the rebuild of caster 3 at the same plant and its hot commissioning in 2019 marked the success of TISCO’s first home-made caster.
