S&T: Electro-hydraulic vibrating cylinder passes the test

The CISDI-developed electro-hydraulic direct-drive servo vibrating cylinder has passed strict reliability tests at Chongqing Steel’s billet caster 7.
This new-generation caster’s mould vibration unit now qualifies for industrial applications.
Six of the cylinders had been installed on the 6-strand billet caster and resulted in good strand quality.
The newly-developed product provides innovative, total solutions for the caster’s mould vibration system, characterised by sinusoidal or non-sinusoidal vibrations, smart, high-frequency and high-precision performances. Construction and maintenance can be carried out easily.
The reliability tests took place over a month and resulted in all strands/billets reaching design targets, which verified the unit’s stability.
