CISDI would
like to express its deep gratitude for the care, help and understanding shown
by overseas customers and partners during China’s outbreak of COVID-19.
Our heart-felt
sympathy goes out to everyone now affected as the virus spreads across the world.
As our country
emerges from the crisis, we will be pushing on with our overseas projects -
during 2020 we have around 100 planned in over 20 regions of overseas
countries.
But health and
safety is our Number One priority. We will be doing everything we can to
protect the health and safety of our teams and colleagues engaged in projects
across China and overseas.
Right across
our businesses, our epidemic control is strict and detailed and a procedure to
prevent the spread of the virus has been established.
CISDI’s
headquarters have prepared a personal protection manual in English for overseas
workers to follow.
A daily
reporting system has been implemented and at present there are no reported
cases of COVID-19 across the whole group.
In addition, a
special working party has been set up to strengthen prevention and control
measures.
Overseas
offices and project sites are required to:
2 Prepare and rehearse their emergency response plans in readiness for a
potential outbreak of COVID-19
2 Buy and distribute personal protection equipment, ensure they safely
dispose of used equipment and keep inventories lasting for at least 14 days
2 They must strictly control business trips and comply with isolation
regulations
CISDI UK will
lead all overseas operations work and liaise closely with CISDI’s headquarters
in Chongqing as site work resumes.
