CISDI and Yongyang join forces for ‘golden opportunity’

CISDI is currently contracted to supply Yongyang’s light rail and heavy rail rolling lines and the new agreement furthers the relationship forged. 

The signing took place at CISDI’s HQ in Chongqing. Xuewen Xiao, the chairman of CISDI, and Xiaofang Du, president of Yongyang, were present.

The agreement focuses on collaboration in front-end consulting, construction and new product development and improving services to intelligent manufacturing, ops management and cost optimisation.

At the meeting, Mr Xiao spoke of his confidence in the future of beam and rail markets in China: “Low-carbon, convenient transport is needed to further connect our cities and surrounding areas. Light and heavy rail lines hold even greater prospects,” he said.

“We are keen to build a long-term partnership and deliver high-standard equipment and services for Yongyang’s projects. Our quality beam and rail rolling equipment will help the company with its automatic, intelligent and IT-based developments.”

CISDI’s design and manufacturing fortes have been recognised by Yongyang during its light rail rolling line project, said Mr Du, who got to visit CISDI’s showrooms, research and development centre, equipment manufacturing experience centre and its manufacturing shop.

He added: “Today’s agreement marks a golden opportunity for us to deepen our collaboration. Yongyang’s tomorrow welcomes CISDI’s specialism.”

Yongyang Special Steel is located in Handan City in China’s Hebei Province. With a nearly 30-year history, Yongyang’s light rail system is the province’s most famous product.

Its annual quality steel production is around 1.20 million tonnes and its annual production of special steel sections is 2.20 million tonnes.

CISDI’s first order from Yongyang - for a light rail rolling line - was awarded last year. This year, CISDI will supply the mechanical, electric and hydraulic integrated equipment for Yongyang’s heavy rail rolling line.
