CISDI and Sinogiant Group have pledged to work together to advance green, low-carbon developments.

The merging of the two giants is expected to bring a host of benchmark green projects to reality.

Company presidents Xiang Sun and Peng Xiao signed a strategic cooperation agreement which will see both organisations build a long-term partnership.

The Sinogiant Group is based in Cangzhou City in China’s Hebei Province. Its delegation, led by Mr Sun, visited the CISDI Research and Development Co in Chongqing to learn about its latest innovations and applications.

“Sinogiant hopes to forge its own strengths with CISDI’s state-of-the-art green and low-carbon metallurgy, intelligent manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, and integrated resource utilisation,” said Mr Sun.

“We value CISDI’s long and sustained history of innovation and research. Together we will build sample works which will play their part in the advancement of Chinese steel.

“CISDI has long been committed to the development of innovations which drive steel manufacturing forward and for the building of an innovative ecosystem.

“We also have a reputation for continual innovation and will take this opportunity to formulate a scheme focussing on scientific methods for improving efficiency and cost performance, and adding low-carbon credentials to our projects.”
